Vegan Twix

Vegan Twix anyone?  Treat yourself and loved ones without an ounce of guilt!
Made with tasty whole foods and packed with Your Superfoods Chocolate Loves Mix, it is the perfect healthy treat!

Makes 12  | Prep Time 1 hour


For the crust:

– 2 cups ground gluten free oats
– 1/2 cup almond flour
– 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
– 1/2 cup maple syrup

For the caramel layer:
– 1/2 cup maple syrup
– 1/2 cup coconut oil
– 1/2 cup almond butter
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/4 tsp sea salt

For the chocolate coating:
– 40g Your Superfoods Chocolate Lover Mix
– 1 1/2 tbsp melted coconut oil
– 1 tbsp maple syrup
– 1/4 tsp sea salt


Start by preheating the oven to 180°C.
To make the crust:
Mix all of the ingredients for the crust together to form a dough. Place a greaseproof paper into a baking tray, place the dough on the paper and spread the dough into a 1cm thick crust. Use a fork to stitch little holes into the crust and let it bake for about 10-15 minutes. Once baked, take the baking tray out of the oven and set aside to cool.
To make the caramel layer:
Mix all of the ingredients together for the caramel layer. In a saucepan, warm up the mixed ingredients on very low heat until you have an even and smooth mixture. Set the mixture aside to cool down. Once cooled, spread over the crust layer and place in the freezer for half an hour.
To make the chocolate coating:
Melt the coconut oil on very low heat. Take off the stove and stir in maple syrup and Your Superfoods Chocolate Lover Mix (from your box) until you have a smooth consistency. Spread this chocolate coating evenly on top of the caramel layer. Place the tray back in the freezer for another 20 minutes to allow the chocolate coating to set.
Once all three layers are set, cut even squares with a sharp knife. Enjoy as a treat with your favourite cuppa!
